Martha Irvin graduated summa cum laude with her degree in Dental Hygiene from Lakeland Community College in 1994. She has been a dedicated employee of Dr. Appelfeller since that time. Serving not only as the Human Resource Manager for the office, Martha is also one of our highly skilled hygienists. She greets our new patients and works with our existing patients to identify dental disease and then to educate them on how to maintain a beautiful, healthy smile. Martha is enthusiastic in pursuing continuing education to refine her abilities. She consistently strives to provide her patients with individualized care, serving each patient with compassion and a gentle touch.
As President of Sigma Phi Alpha, Chi Chi Upsilon, the local chapter of the Dental Hygienist’s National Honors Society, she has a platform to support and educate our local community on the importance of a healthy mouth.
While out of the office, Martha delights in the time she can spend with her husband and their large family. Photography and the renovation of worn furniture and of her century home are rewarding to her.
